Spanish Tapas with a taste of Wales

#1 RESTUARANT IN BETWS Y COED ON TRIPADVISOR

At Olif we’ve taken inspiration from Spanish tapas and traditional Welsh dishes to create a menu of small plates, using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Our meat has full traceability & is sourced from local farmers. When possible our fish & seafood is sourced from the North Wales coast. Our free-range eggs come from nearby Ochr Cefn Isa Farm & our cheeses are made in Snowdonia. Our bread is made especially for us by Tandderwen / Scillicorns bakeries & we even cook with locally produced butter, cream, rapeseed oil & sea salt!

Testimonials

Excellent - highly recommend

"My partner and I had tapas at Olif on Friday 6 March 2020. The waitress with the long hair was just lovely ! The food was fantastic! The ambience and Gin Wall - excellent. Tried Blue Slate Gin for the first time on the Waitresses recommendation and it was superb ! Olif for us was the best venue on that row of other businesses. Definitely worth going to. Tiny, intimate and a lovely evening out."

Best tapas this side of San Sebastián!

"A wonderful tapas lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We couldn’t decide what to have, so ordered one of each of the specials. Brilliant choice, all absolutely fabulous, stand outs were calamari (the batter was super light), the beef and chorizo. The olives were super and the balsamic raspberry reduction in the dip was just amazing. We’ve not mentioned the gins....they were epic! Try the seaweed one! Plus dog friendly too!"

Superb!

"This restaurant was recommended to us by the guest house we were staying in so we tried it on a Friday night after a long day travelling. We literally arrived at opening time as we were so hungry and luckily they could accommodate us as it's a busy spot. Huuuuge gin selection and good choice of other drinks including a very nice red wine from Murcia. We ordered the meat sharing platter for 2 and then four tapas dishes which for two very hungry people was the perfect amount of food and we ate everything. Great concept of Welsh/Spanish fusion tapas, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ladies who served us were so friendly and accommodating, and it's so nice to be able to take your dog to a nice restaurant rather than just pubs. The bill was about £70 for two drinks each and lots of food! A must do if you are staying in the area."

Welsh Tapas ???

"We wondered what Welsh tapas would be like and weren't disappointed. Cheese and leeks in croquetas, Anglesey eggs, Welsh pork and chorizo meatballs - wonderful. Excellent food, welcoming staff and comfortable surroundings."
